Fatherhood at its finest…kinda

Car Seat Is The Best Seat

The day has arrived! No, not Baby, he’s still warming nicely. The other big day is here.

There are many things that help you feel like Baby is not too far around the corner. Getting the nursery put together, crib assembly, baby showers, the panic that you won’t get it all done in time. They all give you the feeling things are going to change, and soon. However, there is little else that says baby is almost here than that right of passage of putting the car seat in the car. Today was that day for us. Now we’ve got the crib and car seat, baby can arrive and we’ll be covered…we think.

I got this

I got this

Almost there

Almost there

After looking at the 41 page instruction guide I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Let’s just say Ikea furniture looked more assembly friendly than this pint sized booklet. However, there is one distinct advantage we have over the age of our parents. Can anyone say YouTube? Yep, logged on, found the Chicco page and boom found this quick video and we were in businesses minutes later. Being a digital dad certainly has it’s advantages.

So, we’re set with two and half weeks until the due date, it finally feels like we’re in the home stretch. Although I’m not sure Wifey feels that way, she’s ready for him to be out right about, now.

For those of you wondering? No, the Pack ‘n Play is still not fully put together.

Now, only to figure a way to get the rocker into the nursery. Probably should’ve measured the width of the stairway and the chair before purchase. Whoops! That’s next.
